Calculator Update - Check Out the Final Design

Final Circuit Scribe Calculator Design
Final Circuit Scribe Calculator Design

We've been so drone-focused around here that we haven't talked much about the calculator lately, so I thought I'd give y'all an update.

Take a look at the final design above. Over the last months, Val has refined the hardware design and made final tweaks, and worked with a consultant on the code to make sure it functions correctly.

The calculator has a clamshell design that springs open so that you can slide paper in to draw the conductive ink on, then closes with some amount of grab so the paper stays in place. The silver colored knob you see in the photos is what you push to open the back.

The design is complete and we're about to send it to the manufacturers next week. Final testing is being done this week before we send it off. The turnaround time will be fast once the factory gets it - we'll post updates when we have a definite timeline.
